Huawei Unified Gateway eSpace U2990

The eSpace U2990 is the flagship platform of Huawei voice communication products. As an access platform with powerful and flexible networking capabilities, it integrates broadband and narrowband services. Based on mTCA architecture, the eSpace U2990 also integrates voice and media capabilities, providing highly secure and reliable communications services. In addition, it uses multiple cascaded frames to support up to 300,000 subscribers.

The eSpace U2990 supports single-center networking and connects to carrier networks through broadband or narrowband trunks. It also provides access services for analog gateways, as well as for SIP and UC users. Employing the application/management server, it provides basic call services and a variety of UC services.


The branches office can use the U1900 series or EGW1500 series as local voice gateways, depending on branch size. The U1900 and EGW1500 series gateways also provide local regeneration function.


eSpace U2990 Single-center networking


The eSpace U2990 also supports dual-center networking, where two centers work in Active-Active mode to implement geographic redundancy.


The two centers work in mutual backup mode and provide UC services simultaneously, ensuring high reliability.
