As telecom industry has been developing for many years, legacy sites are confronted with problems of low operation efficiency and difficulty in expansion. First, legacy power systems occupy large footprint, and the sites do not have enough room for housing. Second, elimination of some manufacturers from the market has led to spare parts non-availability,causing high operation risks. Besides, low efficiency power wastes huge energy. Against different scenarios of legacy sites and varied customer requirements, we have the following 4 solutions.


1) Detached power replacement solution: Without any change in the layout of customers’ sites, legacy systems are replaced by high efficiency systems, saving large sum of energy consumption and OPEX.


2) Mini power stack solution: Mini power system can be stacked on battery rack, reusing cables and batteries, providing space for further expansion scenarios.


3) Integrated housing solution: The integrated power has outstanding housing capacity to accommodate battery groups and equipments. Old 12V batteries can be regrouped to save up to 50% footprint; the temperature of air-conditioner can be set higher by use of high-temp batteries or separate temperature control of battery cabinets can be achieved, realizing cooling consumption savings.


4) Embedded power replacement solution: Replaces the embedded power of the legacy power cabinet with HW’s small-size embedded power, leading to reusing of the legacy cabinet and most of the existing cables, and increasing housing space for main equipments expansion.
