Multiplexer
El multiplexor es un Multiplexor/Re-multiplexor/Aleatorizador diseñado para transmisiones por redes DTH (DVB-S), cable (DVB-C) y DTTV (DVB-T y ATSC). En el Head-End principal (centro de difusión), el Multiplexor construye (agrega y codifica) un conjunto de paquetes de servicio de MPEG coherentes y los entrega:
Al usuario final vía satélite.
O a los Head-End regionales vía backbones de telecomunicaciones (ATM, IP, etc.).
En los Head-End regionales, el Multiplexor contribuye con la personalización de los paquetes agregando contenido local.
