Miniaturization and High Integration

With a goal of building medium-sized and small networks, Huawei designs a highly-integrated eSCN230 by combining a HSS (Home Subscriber Server), SGW (Serving Gateway), MME (Mobility Management Entity), PDN-GW (Packet Data Network Gateway) and trunking gateway into a 2U box. The eSCN230 features only a 2U height and is lightweight, providing exceptional flexibility for low-density subscriber area deployments.


Dual Backup for High Reliability

The eSCN230 supports dual backup work mode to achieve high reliability. In dual backup mode, the two eSCN230s work in a load-balancing mode to bear user data, ensuring that active sessions are retained for all connected users, while user data loss is minimized by the data plane traffic load-balancing feature. As a result, active connectivity maintenance increases system reliability .


Interconnection and Interoperability

The eSCN230 allows eLTE users to communicate with PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) and PLMN (Public Land Mobile Network) users and other external systems via connection with intersystem gateways. Benefiting from a high level of interoperability, it helps industries to build a unified communications system and perform voice and video services within the entire system.
