eSight Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Solution for Enterprises

The eSight provides an open and flexible platform that helps you build a maintainable and manageable enterprise.

eSight AppBase follows the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) criteria and uses the browser/server (B/S) structure as well as mature technologies popular in the industry to provide enterprise customers with an enterprise management application platform that is open, flexible, and available for secondary development.


The following is a list of such technologies:
- JAVA, EJB (Enterprise Java Bean, supporting the deployment of distributed applications)
- OSGI (a dynamic model system oriented towards JAVA)
- SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol, a simple, lightweight, and XML-based protocol that helps the information change on the WEB system)


Any Customer:

The eSight is available in four editions, such as Express, Compact, Standard, Professional. Enterprises of all sizes can choose the most appropriate edition based on their needs.



Any Vendor:

The eSight can uniformly manage network equipment from multiple vendors, such as Huawei, H3C, Cisco, as well as IT equipment from IBM, HP and SUN. For third-party equipment that supports standard management information bases (MIBs) (RFC1213-MIB, Entity-MIB, SNMPv2-MIB or IF-MIB), the eSight application platform allows users to customize third-party equipment management.



Any Device:

Many types of equipment from multiple vendors, such as network equipment, IT servers and IP terminals are available in the enterprise market. As a result, flexible equipment adaptation policies are required to uniformly manage a wide variety of equipment. The eSight presents a best-in-class solution to achieve multi-vendor equipment management.


  • Multi-vendor equipment management
    The eSight provides basic adaptation to equipment from Huawei, Cisco and H3C, which covers equipment topology management, standard alarm and performance indicators (including CPU/memory), configuration backup, and panel display. The eSight also supports the default configuration of third-party equipment.


  • Customized management of special equipment
    For equipment that the eSight cannot be adapted to, the eSight offers the equipment customization function. Users can enter the object identifier (OID) of the equipment, alarm information, performance indicator information, configuration commands and panel simulation graph information to complete basic customized management functions on the equipment.


  • Shared equipment management
    For Huawei equipment, users can directly download the most recent adaptation package from Huawei websites or forums. For equipment produced by other vendors, users can develop appropriate packages accordingly.


Any Service:

The eSight can manage network services, such as Service-Level Agreement (SLA), Virtual Private Network (VPN) and Access Control List (ACL), as well as multiple enterprise services, for example, traffic analysis and audio services.
WLAN service management: The eSight can manage Huawei automatic control (AC) equipment. Users can configure WLAN services by managing and configuring ACs.
IPSec VPN service management: The eSight monitors and manages IPSec VPN services and enables users to browse service topology information.
MPLS VPN service management: The eSight monitors and manages Multi-Protocol Label Switching VPN (MPLS VPN) services, which cover service topology, service restoration, service alarms, and performance management. The eSight also supports inter-autonomous System (inter-AS) Option B, Hierarchy of VPN (HoVPN), automatic discovery of Media Module Control Element (MCE) networks, topology displays, and service monitoring.



Any Policy:

The eSight provides multiple control policies for network ports, security management, user rights, access authentication and behavior management.


Hierarchical network management

The eSight meets the demands of the enterprise headquarters-branch structure and supports hierarchical management by creating layered network-management areas. Users can check alarms, topologies, and performance and report information of their own layer as well as lower-level layers.
