Service Access and Media Resource Capabilities

  • Integrates voice and media capabilities, reducing the cost of investment
  • Provides customizable functions such as voice file playing, digit collection, fax, and conferencing

  • Powerful and Flexible Networking Capabilities

  • Supports the use of E1/T1 trunks to connect to traditional Private Branch eXchange (PBX) and Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN)
  • Enables the use of SIP trunks to connect to the IP PBX and Next Generation Network (NGN)/IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS)
  • Handles centralized and distributed networking modes

  • High Reliability

  • Hardware reliability: All components support redundancy, ensuring system reliability as high as 99.999%
  • Software reliability: Layered and modularized architecture ensures effective system protection, error tolerance, and fault detection
  • Overload control: The system provides multiple overload control mechanisms, such as four-level overload restriction and CPU flow control

  • High Security

  • Protects networks from attacks
  • Supports encryption for both Transport Layer Security (TLS) signaling and Security Real Time Protocol (SRTP) media
  • Provides strict data protection mechanisms and hierarchical subscriber authority management

  • Smooth Expansion

  • A single frame supports 30,000 subscribers. When multiple frames are cascaded, the eSpace U2990 supports up to 300,000 subscribers. This flexible design facilitates capacity expansion.

The eSpace U2990 supports single-center networking and connects to carrier networks through broadband or narrowband trunks. It also provides access services for analog gateways, as well as for SIP and UC users. Employing the application/management server, it provides basic call services and a variety of UC services.

The branches office can use the U1900 series or EGW1500 series as local voice gateways, depending on branch size. The U1900 and EGW1500 series gateways also provide local regeneration function.

The eSpace U2990 also supports dual-center networking, where two centers work in Active-Active mode to implement geographic redundancy.

The two centers work in mutual backup mode and provide UC services simultaneously, ensuring high reliability.
