Ian Foo is currently the Director of Data Center Products & Solutions in Huawei USA's IP Products Enterprise Global Marketing organization.  With over 20 years in networking and IT experience, Ian was formerly a Technical Leader at Cisco focusing on Data Center architecture, Data Center Switching platforms, Campus LAN architectures, and security.  He has provided "trusted advisor" guidance and consulting to US and Global Fortune 500 corporations, US and International government agencies, educational institutions, and small and medium businesses across a wide range of industry verticals.  Ian is also the co-creator, and author of over a dozen issued and pending patents covering various areas in the networking, security, and communications technology space. Prior to his role at Cisco Ian was a senior network engineer at BBN Planet/GTE Internetworking, one of the original Tier 1 ISPs and firm that created the ARPANET (predecessor and foundation of the internet).  AT BBN, he was a senior member of the technical staff responsible for the design, evolution, and sustaining engineering of the BBN (subsequently GTE & Genuity) global backbone and data centers running under the AS 1 and the 4.0.0.0/8 network."
Abstract :
"This session will explore Huawei's Software Defined Networking strategy and architecture and how it enables dealing with the rapidly changing requirements of modern and next-generation data centers.  Attendees will also gain an understanding of how Huawei's SDN strategy and vision will help Enterprises meet the current and future wave of business driven requirements for their data centers through architectural flexibility enabled by pervasive and open network programmability."
At Huawei, Ajay Gupta is responsible for the Product Marketing, Product Management and GTM strategy for IP products line including Branch, Campus, WLAN, Security as part of the Global Enterprise Marketing Team. Ajay has been working in Networking and IT industry for over two decades at various Silicon Valley companies including Cisco, Juniper, Digital and multiple venture funded companies in various technologies such as Networking, Security, Cloud & virtualization. Earlier he held the positions of Director of Marketing at Juniper and McAfee where he has been responsible for product vision, go-to-market strategy and product positioning for multiple product lines. At Cisco, Ajay held various marketing and product management position where he was instrumental in building several new security and networking products and has taken them to market from zero to multi-million dollar run rates. Ajay holds a BS in Engineering, MS in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
Wei Tang has over 15 years of experience in telecommunication industry from UC & C applications, 4G wireless infrastructure, mobility and security software, to telecom OSS/BSS systems. He has worked for startups and multinational companies in US, China and Korea for engineering, marketing, BD and sales positions. He led the development of world 1st P2P Mobile-IP secure communication system, the design of small cell product for MSO and successful trials with major cable operators such as Comcast and TWC. Wei Tang received his MS degree from University of Virginia, BS from Beijing University both in Electrical Engineering.
