Huawei SAP HANA Appliance


The SAP High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) is a data platform which can be deployed as an appliance, or in the cloud. It is a revolutionary platform that is ideally suited to run real-time analytics, and to develop and deploy real-time applications. It enables real-time processing of massive amounts of data in the main memory of a server. Huawei has partnered with SAP to create HANA appliances based on Huawei’s high-end hardware platform which feature outstanding performance.

With continued improvement in IT and rapid growth of data, there are massive data produced during the enterprise operation, production, development and sales. These data not only reflect the current status of enterprise operation, but also provide reference for decision making. But when it comes to analyze such a massive data and get the result in real time, there are problems needed to be solved:


  • Data read speed. The CPU and memory speeds are 1 million times that of external storage. Storage performance is becoming the system performance bottleneck.
  • Computing speed. Taking advantages of multiple CPUs and nodes for massive data.

SAP Business One (B1) is a ERP system that is ideal for the growing small and medium enterprises. SAP B1 solutions based Huawei RH2288H V2 rack servers and high-performance SSD disks as storage, which brings excellent performance experience for SMEs.



Single node solution is based on the RH5885H V3 high performance 4-socket rack server. The RH5885H V3 can provide 53 advanced Reliability/Availability/Serviceability (RAS) features such as Cache security technology and Core isolation configuration. These features, along with complete hardware redundancy, provides high reliability and it also supports a PCIe SSD accelerator card. It is a optimal choice for the database and business intelligence business, ERP and mission-critical applications.


The scale-out solution runs on the award winning Huawei FusionCube converged infrastructure. FusionCube employs an innovative software based storage which also delivers very high IO performance. The FusionCube’s converged architecture design with high performance IB networking and high-performance storage makes it an ideal platform for HANA scale-out solution.


Scale out: FusionCube-Converged infrastructure solution

Huawei SAP HANA converged infrastructure solution is based on Huawei FusionCube server and distributed storage solution. Huawei FusionCube follows open architecture standards, integrates blade servers, distributed storage, network switches and management software in a 12U height chassis. SAP HANA software can be supported as one-stop delivery, appliance installation, linear expansion. FusionCube has a deep performance optimization for the HANA in-memory database scenario. Huawei FusionCube supports 10GE/56Gbps IB switch, that can fully meet HANA memory real-time computing scenario on storage low latency and high speed network switching requirements.



SAP HANA scale out solution: FusionCube-SAN storage solution

Huawei FusionCube with SAN storage for SAP HANA is based on FusionCube converged infrastructure blade server and unified storage OceanStor S5600T. Huawei FusionCube server uses leading technology and an advanced architecture, supporting 10GE/FCoE/FC switch to meet the network requirements of HANA in real-time computing scenarios. Combined with S5600T unified storage, this solution supports configuration file and block data sharing, and long-distance disaster recovery at the storage level. Core traffic is guaranteed safe with this solution.
